Begin by selecting Create a network. You are then presented with a choice about which blockchain protocol you want to use and which edition. The main difference between Starter and Standard edition is that Standard gives you more options for peer node instance types. We recommend using Starter Edition during project development and creating a new network using Standard Edition when you’re ready to deploy your dapp to production. For this workshop, we’ll choose Hyperledger Fabric 1.4 and Starter Edition.
First specify a name for your blockchain. We will use the name SupplyChain. You are also asked to specify a few configuration options about voting policies. These determine what percentage of members must support an add/remove member proposal for it to be approved, and how long such proposals last before they are either approved or expire. We’ll leave these at their default settings and continue.
